1.0 Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA)
The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is a government body responsible for regulating telecommunications, broadcasting (in mainland Tanzania only), and postal services in the United Republic of Tanzania. Established under the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Act No.12 of 2003, TCRA became operational on November 1, 2003, taking over the functions of the now-defunct Tanzania Communications Commission (TCC) and Tanzania Broadcasting Commission (TBC).
